How to qualify for Nationals

Welcome to our page dedicated to explaining how you can qualify for the 2026 CAPO Nationals in Western Australia. Here, you'll find all the necessary information and guidelines to help you navigate the qualification process. We aim to provide clear and concise details to ensure you're well-prepared for this exciting. Let's get started on your journey to the nationals!

QUALIFYING  DETAILS

TJMERS (Teen, Junior, Masters, Equipped, Raw and Single lift competitors)

Qualification Requirements

  • Raw and Equipped Open 3-lift competitors must have competed since 4 August 2025 and before CAPO Nationals 2026 in their division and obtained the minimum total requirement in a CAPO 3 lift-sanctioned Competition

  • Teen, Junior, and Master 3-lift competitors must have competed in a CAPO-sanctioned 3-lift competition since 4 August 2025 and before CAPO Nationals 2026 in their division.

  • Single lift competitors must have competed in a CAPO-sanctioned competition since 4 August 2025 and before CAPO Nationals 2026

Ticket information

  • First round tickets on sale TBA

  • Entry tickets are not refundable but with approval of the event organiser can be transferred to another lifter on the wait list.

  • Tentative event schedule will be announced once first round entries are closed.

 

Raw Plus OPEN competitors 

Qualification Requirements

  • Raw Plus competitors must have competed since 4 August 2025 and before CAPO Nationals 2026 in their division and obtained the minimum total requirement in a CAPO 3-lift Sanctioned Competition.

  • As well as this you must be ranked in the top of your weight class to get first-round invites.

  • All winners from weight classes at 2025 Nationals will have automatic qualification. Names are listed on the live ranking list.

  • Please check the live ranking list of all open lifters to see where you are standing and how many spots there are per weight class. 

  • Invite lifters – If you lift at an invite-only event (Pro-Events) competition, totals can be counted towards your qualifying total. You are required to be a CAPO Member at the time of the event and one week prior to the event apply for this consideration with Henry Day (0401579419 – henry@musclepit.com.au)

  • Athletes' totals from the 2025 WPC Worlds can be counted towards your qualifying total as well.

Entry / Ticket Information

  • A round system will be used to send out invites to all lifters to compete.

  • Those who finished at the top end of their weight class will be invited first and will have two days to confirm their entry.

  • If they do not confirm their entry, the next lifter down in the weight class will be invited.

    • TBA – First Round Invites

    • TBA – Second Round Invites

    • TBA – Third Round Invites

  • Tentative event schedule will be announced once first round entries are closed.
